Government publishes update to Agricultural Transition Plan

Defra have provided this policy update information as well as sharing the payment principles to help prepare the industry for the changes to come, helping farmers to make the right decisions for them and their business.

The update recognises that, through environmental land management, we can store carbon, reduce the risks from a changing climate and restore wildlife and habitats. We can do whilst maintaining a thriving agricultural and forestry sector, growing quality food and timber and supporting the health and wellbeing of all of us.
