New product for Hylobius on its way

Extensive R&D trials of the product, code-named A23473A, have shown highly effective levels of reduction in Hylobius damage from applications in both the forest nursery pre-planting and to growing saplings in the forest. The development and registration trials, along with further forestry research initiatives, has created a strong technical understanding of the role of A23473A in an integrated control strategy for Hylobius.

The commercial product has now successfully entered the next stage of the UK registration process, which is due for evaluation in November 2024. Syngenta is planning for the subsequent launch of the easy-to-use liquid-formulation product following the outcome of the regulatory process.
