The UK government has recently published a consultation on reforms to the tax treatment of red diesel and other rebated fuels announced at Budget 2020.
The consultation will close on 1 October 2020, and can be found here
Whilst forestry is exempt, Confor is currently working closely with sawmill and wood processor members to develop a detailed submission arguing for this segment of the wood supply chain to be made exempt too.
