Timber Haulage Academy

The course is 5 days:

Day 1: Classroom based - all candidates will go through an introduction and sit a CPC + F module

Day 2 & 3: 2 Candidates will undertake training on a Forestry equipped HGV in a forest environment; while 2 Candidates will go on a placement with a Timber HGV company – in the cab experience for a 2 full days of work experience.

Day 4 & 5 : Swap over

You leave with a CPC certificate, attendance certificate and will have met potential employers.

Entry requirements:

This course has been designed by Creel Consulting, experts in timber haulage and is supported by the Forest Industry Safety Accord (FISA).

The course is free to those that meet the entry requirements. Unfortunately we do not cover expenses for the duration of the course such as accommodation, travel or meals.

 You need to:

• be 25 or over
• hold a full valid driving licence (preference will be given to those that already hold LGV Category C+E)
• be at risk of unemployment
• be unemployed
• live in Scotland
